Mental Wellness in the Food & Beverage Industry

After the success of Shift Drinks #1 on Female and Minority Empowerment, we decided to carry on with a topic that matters to all of us. For the second edition of our new digital event series, we will deep dive into Mental Wellness in the Food & Beverage Industry.

Now more than ever, we need to stick together and check on each other’s health and mental wellness. Learn all the tools to enhance a more sustainable way to work, lead, and manage in the Food and Beverage Industry during this virtual event.

Panelists: 

Paul Sanguinetti - Co-founder of No Scruples 

Paul Sanguinetti is the Co-founder of No Scruples, LLC, an elite beverage marketing agency with an emphasis on education and community outreach. He has over 18 years of experience in hospitality including work as a chef, sommelier, and beverage director for Los Angeles and New York-based Patina Restaurant Group, developing the group’s award-winning wine and cocktail programs in addition to curating the beverage program at the group’s successful overseas venture, Patina Tokyo.

Paul continued on to work as the assistant blender and Global Ambassador for Campo de Encanto Pisco as well as the lead consulting ambassador for Lustau Sherry, creating the first sherry ambassador program here in the US, growing the category significantly through education and events.

Lauren Paylor - Co-Founder Focus On Health

Lauren has worked in several world-famous restaurants such as The Dabney in Washington DC. Prior to Covid-19, Lauren was employed at Silver Lyan at the Riggs DC Hotel under the management of the Mr. Lyan beverage company. She is currently the co-founder and owner of Focus On Health, a company focused on health and wellness for food and beverage employees, along with Alex Jump.

Lauren travels the world consulting and training bar teams. She is a nationally ranked bartender that was a finalist in the US -World Class Competition 2019.

Focus On Health provides hospitality professionals with the tools and resources to better their lives through health and wellness education, programming, and outreach. We help those who work in the food and beverage industry find ways to create long-lasting careers in the hospitality field by encouraging them to take care of themselves physically, mentally and otherwise.
